Xherdan Shaqiri rejects chance to leave Liverpool this month

Liverpool's Xherdan Shaqiri has turned down the chance to sign for Hertha Berlin during the January transfer window, as per Sky Germany, via Fussball Transfers. Shaqiri has been the Reds player since July of 2018 and his contract with the club runs until the summer of 2023. During this season, he has made 11 appearances in which he has scored one goal and provided 3 assists. He missed several of Liverpool games due to a muscle injury. Hertha are currently 14th in the Bundesliga table and 2 points above the relegation zone. The club's head coach Pál Dárdai has identified three targets to help the Bundesliga side to avoid the drop. The targets are Shaqiri, Christian Eriksen and Ivan Perisic. However, according to the claims, all three options are gone as Eriksen and Perisic are on wages too high for Hertha to cover, meanwhile Shaqiri is ‘not in the mood for a relegation battle’. source - sportwitness.co.uk
