Would Liverpool be crowned Premier League winners if the season is abandoned amid coronavirus crisis

The coronavirus outbreak has affected the whole world as well as the footballing world. Due to the virus, major sporting events and competitions have already been canceled and postponed. The FA, Premier League, EFL and Barclays FA Women’s Super League and FA Women’s Championship have collectively agreed to postpone the professional game in England until 3 April at the earliest. Amid the coronavirus crisis, questions have been raised: whether Liverpool would become Premier League champions if the season is abandoned. According to the Telegraph, the Reds are likely to be crowned Premier League champions even if the season is cut short due to the rapidly spreading virus. As a reminder, Liverpool are currently comfortably sitting at the top of the league table with 25-points ahead of second-placed Manchester City, who have played one game less. source - Telegraph
