Tiger Woods announced Wednesday evening that he’s returning to Japan for the first time since 2006 to play in the inaugural ZOZO Championship just outside of Tokyo. “I’m excited to play in the inaugural ZOZO Championship in October, and return to Japan, one of my favorite countries," Woods said via Twitter. "It’s going to be a fun fall.” https://twitter.com/TigerWoods/status/1121213469414559744 Woods is U.S. captain for the Presidents Cup that will be held between 12-15 December at Royal Melbourne in Australia, giving the 43-year-old at least two trips halfway around the world. The Zozo Championship will take place between 24-27 of October at Accordia Golf Chiba Narashino Country Club, about 50 miles east of Tokyo. Woods last played in Japan in 2006 at the Dunlop Phoenix, where he lost in a playoff to Padraig Harrington.
