Wolves striker Sasa Kalajdzic made a remarkable comeback to the field after a long 10-month absence due to a serious knee injury.
The Wanderers faced League One side Blackpool in two separate 60-minute matches at Compton Park, with the Premier League side winning the first game 2 - 0, while the Seasiders secured a 4-0 victory in the second match.
During the first game, Wolves' goals were scored by Pablo Sarabia and Matheus Cunha. These matches provided valuable opportunities for players to gain match fitness and sharpen their skills, while also impressing manager Julen Lopetegui.
Kalajdzic, in particular, was eager to make an impact after recovering from his ACL injury, which occurred during his debut against Southampton last September.
He fell awkwardly after an aerial duel and, though he played on for a bit, it was later revealed that he had suffered ACL damage, leading to surgery and an extended absence from the game.
Unfortunately, the injury forced the Spanish manager to exclude the Austrian striker from the Premier League squad for the rest of the season. However, the recent match action signals a positive step forward in his recovery and a chance for him to reclaim his place in the team.
