Wolff looks worried at Verstappen: "If we fall out once, we're even"

Mercedes are already leading the championship after just three races this season. However, team boss Toto Wolff still expects competition from Red Bull driver Max Verstappen. It would be a difficulty in 2020 between Red Bull Racing and Mercedes, but it is Mercedes that again dominates and Verstappen that may occasionally stay close to the duo Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton. "I'm never comfortable with a head start. We've had three out of maybe 16 to eighteen races in 2020. If we lose once and Verstappen wins, the championship is almost even. We can't take it too lightly," Wolff says to Auto, Motor und Sport. However, Wolff acknowledges that the team is better than last season. ''The Ferrari engine pushed us to the limit to find more performance and the collaboration between Brackley and Brixworth certainly helped. The balance between aerodynamics and engine power is just very strong'', concludes Wolff. Source: GPBlog
