Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff could consider his future with the Formula 1 team once his contract expires at the end of 2020. According to RaceFans, Wolff could succeed Chase Carey as Formula 1 Group CEO. Mercedes CEO Dieter Zetsche is due to step down at the end of May and he will be succeeded by Ola Källenius. Insiders claim, that Wolff and currently head of group research and Mercedes-Benz cars development, Källenius, have an uneasy relationship and it is said to be an influential factor for Wolff to leave Mercedes. Liberty insiders, meanwhile, claim that CEO and Chairman of Liberty Media, Carey, 65, will step down from his CEO role after 2020, thus creating an executive position for Wolff.
