"Will all happen within the next week or so" - Newcastle legend issues huge takeover claim

Newcastle legend Malcolm Macdonald believes the club's takeover will happen shortly. Macdonald has been speaking about the club on a recent episode of NUFC Matters with Steve Wraith and John Gibson. Macdonald also spoke about on the proposed takeover by Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-backed consortium. The former Newcastle striker issued a claim on when he thinks the Premier League will decide on whether the takeover will be passed. He said: “I am sure the takeover is going to happen, and it will all happen within the next week or so. So, I personally can’t see the [Mike] Ashley people making any bold moves in any way in the transfer market – either buying or selling.” Meanwhile, the Premier League have declined to comment on a huge fresh claim from the Middle East that the takeover at Newcastle United is in trouble.
