Who could Manchester City face in Champions League group stage

Manchester City's are going to have their 12th campaign in Europe's major competition.

The Cityzens are one of the 26 clubs that automatically qualified for the tournament, meanwhile, the play-offs are currently taking place and six teams are yet to qualify for the group stage.

Soon, on August 25, the Champions League group stage draw will take place, with 32 teams to be carved up into eight groups.

Pep Guardiola's side were so close to reaching the main prize in the last two seasons: after suffered an defeat to fellow Premier League opponent Chelsea in the 2021 final, and getting knocked out at the semi-final stages last season against current title holder eventual winners Real Madrid.

With City being in Pot One, the current English champions will face one of five teams in Pot Two, Pot Three and Pot Four, with the three Premier League sides( Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham) in that pot will not be able to be paired with.
