Liverpool are preparing to face Midtjylland in the last round of the Champions League group stage on Wednesday. The Reds have already qualified for the last 16, but have to wait and find out who their opponents will be as the draw is scheduled on Monday, December 14.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have secured the top spot in Group D which means they can face one of the teams that finished the group in the second spot, this doesn’t include teams from the Premier League.
As it stand, from Group A, the Reds can draw Atletico Madrid, however, FC Red Bull Salzburg can still qualify for the knockouts in second spot.
In group B, all four teams – Borussia Monchengladbach , Shakhtar Donetsk , Real Madrid and Inter Milan are still potential opponents for Liverpool.
Porto and Sevilla could also be potential opponents for Liverpool as well as Lazio and Barcelona. And from Group H, the Reds could draw either RB Leipzig or PSG, depending on how the Ligue 1 sides’ game ends with Istanbul Basaksehir, since their game was suspended on Tuesday night
