Zinedine Zidane has reportedly told Manchester United that he is holding out for the France job amid reports he received a phone call from the Red Devils during the international break.
The Frenchman has been out of job since he left Real Madrid at the end of last season following his swift return to the club in 2019.
According to Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda, Zidane’s phone has been continuously buzzing in recent weeks, with United the latest side to call him during the international break.
Inda said: “Zidane said no because his dream is to coach France and they have offered him double what he earned at Real Madrid.
“He tells everyone that his big dream is to coach the French team, but I see it complicated because it would have to be after Qatar.”
Should Ole Gunnar Solskjaer be sacked and United reach out to Zidane once again, this could be an opportunity too good to refuse.
