What Jurgen Klopp said on Germany job amid Liverpool exit talks

Jurgen Klopp has been numerously linked with a managerial job at Germany national team. And on Tuesday news emerged that Joachim Low will leave his job this summer after the Euro 2020 meaning the role will become available and speculation regarding Klopp is likely to mount. The German coach is under contract at Anfield until 2024 and has previously insisted he will not leave before his contract is up. Links to the Germany job first emerged when Klopp was still at Borussia Dortmund back in 2014. After seeing his national team knocked out of the World Cup, Klopp admitted the position was a “very attractive proposition”.  He then added: "If they were enthusiastic about me taking on the national team at some point I’d obviously think it over, although quite a lot of things would have to come together for that to happen." In 2019 when asked about the possibility, Klopp told Magenta TV: “I really can not say. I do not know if I would like to. Now, as of today, I do not feel like it. Stand up now, I’m totally happy with what I do and that’s important in the whole story. “I also could not say one hundred percent if I was the right one [to replace Low]. If the question ever arises, I would think about it – but not now.” And in 2020 after Germany’s 6-0 humiliation at the hands of Spain, Low was under pressure and Klopp installed as the bookiers’ favourite to take over. He said: “Maybe in the future but now, no, because now I have no time. I also have a job - a pretty intense job by the way. “I am not sure if anybody has asked after me but if they don't know I have a job here at Liverpool - even though the weather is bad again! “I like it and I am responsible for a lot of things here so I will not go and search for another challenge.” Source- Daily and Sunday Express Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
