Liverpool have reportedly been linked with a transfer move for Bayern Munich's Thiago Alcantara with the player putting contract talks on hold at the Bundesliga side.
During this season, Thiago has made 35 appearances in which he has scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists.
According to
SportBild, the central midfielder is waiting to see if Liverpool are interested in signing him.
Back in February 2019, when Bayern Munich played a goalless draw with the Reds at Anfield, Klopp praised Thiago and the German side.
“I’ve probably never seen them defend like that," said Klopp.
“Respect to them as they made it difficult for us, although we had good situations where we missed the last touch.
“Thiago is a world-class footballer. He played that deep-lying playmaker role very well. Alongside [Javi] Martinez, they were very good.”
