Chelsea new goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has found out just how seriously the squad takes their punishments.
The Blues have been preparing for the game against Everton in the Premier League's late kick-off on Saturday as they look for the win that will take them back to the top of the table.
The likes of Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic, Thiago Silva and Olivier Giroud were all put through their paces at Chelsea's training base in Cobham alongside the keeper. And there was an unfortunate moment for Mendy.
As spotted in a 'Chelsea Unseen' video uploaded to the club's
YouTube page, the Senegal international appeared to have lost the keepy-up challenge between himself Willy Caballero, Kepa Arrizabalaga and the goalkeeping coaches.
His punishment was beyond hilarious and although it could have been very painful.
Standing still, Mendy was defenseless as the aforementioned goalkeepers and coaches were allowed a free shot at flicking his ear.
Mendy has impressed since his move from Rennes in the summer and is expected to return to the Chelsea XI for the game against Everton.
