However during the game the cameras caught a heated exchange between Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta. Arsenal manager was furious at Sadio Mane appearing to fling an elbow at Takehiro Tomiyasu and the two head coaches squared up in scenes familiar to the previous Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho managerial duels. Both of them received yellow cards for their troubles and the argument would have almost certainly continued in the tunnel at half time.
