Andy Robertson and Gini Wijnaldum were reunited on Wednesday night as both players were representing their countries in the friendly match between the Netherlands and Scotland ahead of this summer’s European Championships.
The game finished in a 2 – 2 draw, with Roberson providing an assist for Scotland’s second goal.
Before the clash, the two Reds players and captains of the two national teams, met each other in the centre circle as the referee did the routine coin toss.
And when the duo met, they gave each other a smile, while Wijnaldum can be heard telling Robertson: “I want to hug you.”
Wijnaldum’s current contract at Liverpool comes to the end, with the player set to leave Anfield at the end of this month.
