What Frank Lampard told Timo Werner about Liverpool during transfer talks

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has reportedly told Timo Werner he was building a squad ready to challenge Liverpool for the Premier League title at Stamford Bridge. The West London club announced the signing of the Germany international on Thursday. The Blues are hopeful that he’ll help them win some silverware next season. According to the Telegraph Werner was convinced into moving to Chelsea after Lampard promised him a chance to rival Liverpool for major honours.
