What changes Jurgen Klopp should make to end their poor form?

Liverpool's desire to win a treble this season is over, as Jurgen Klopp's side lost 2-0 to Chelsea on Tuesday night. Willian and Ross Barkley's goals saw the Reds knocked out in what was a big result for the Blues. Meantime, the Reds are left to focus on getting their first Premier League crown confirmed, and turning around their 1-0 deficit from the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash with Atletico Madrid. Ross Strachan from Widnes, who was one of the post-game podcast contributors after the match, outlined the method in which Chelsea got the better of the Reds on the night in what is becoming a worrying trend. He explained: "Olivier Giroud was excellent: really physical on Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk. It’s proven now in the last couple of games that is the way to get success. "Troy Deeney did it the other day and really put himself about and Giroud has been around the block. "He was excellent and probably the Man of the Match."  Merseyside club will need to improve on that new-found defensive frailty ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Bournemouth at Anfield. With Callum Wilson and Joshua King up top, Eddie Howe's men are likely to try to replicate the success of both Watford and Chelsea. Two players who probably won't to feature at the weekend, but who impressed against Chelsea. are teenagers Neco Williams and Curtis Jones. Strachan added: "It was a really disappointing night - our third defeat in four games and we’re in a bit of a rut at the minute. "First half, we had a lot of chances, it was end to end. Nothing really clear-cut but it just didn’t go in. "It had that feel from the first 10 minutes that it wasn’t going to go our way - maybe there is a little bit of complacency at the back. "Chelsea - as Watford did - deserve credit for their game-plan. They pressed at the right times and didn’t let us have the ball in dangerous areas. "We played a fairly strong side as well, with only a couple of youngsters. To be fair, the two young lads were the ones to come out with any positivity. "Williams had a decent game down the right-hand side and Jones was in and out a little bit, but you could see glimpses." Fellow contributor Simon Donnelly agreed with Strachan's assessment of the defeat, as he added: "The loss at Watford was a bit of a wake-up call. We've been teetering recently on the brink of defeat but always managing to pull that back - it may have been coming for a while. "In a funny way, maybe we have got a monkey off our back. Maybe this challenge of going through the season unbeaten was weighing heavily and now that has gone, we might see a bit more of an attacking and open Liverpool." Source- Liverpool Echo
