Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak as a potential replacement for Alexandre Lacazette.
The Sweden international scored 17 goals in 34 La Liga games for the Spanish side, attracting attention from the Premier League.
In a recent
interview with Min Stora Dag alongside Sweden team-mate Dejan Kulusevski, also linked with a transfer to Arteta's side, Isak revealed his childhood footballing idol was none other than Gunners legend Thierry Henry.
Isak also played alongside Martin Odegaard for a season when he joined Sociedad, a campaign in which the Arsenal midfielder was on fire.
The Scandinavian duo of 'best friends' also stayed in the same hotel together upon their arrival in the summer of 2019 and spent plenty of time with one another over the proceeding months, as Odegaard
detailed in an interview that year.
So, not only could the transfer solve their striking issue, but get the best out of a player yet to explode in north London.
