Chris Sutton and Robbie Savage have lauded Newcastle United for the club's potential acquisition of AC Milan star Sandro Tonali.
The 23-year-old midfielder has impressed in Serie A and is seen as one of Europe's rising talents in the box-to-box role. Reports suggest that the deal for Tonali is nearing completion, with a rumored fee of £60 million for the Italian international.
Both Sutton and Savage expressed their excitement following the latest transfer news.
“What a signing for Newcastle, Tonali,” Savage said on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport on 606 to which Sutton responded:
“I think that would represent a good signing. What you (speaking to a Newcastle fan) said about players and inflated prices. We all know, it’s not the players’ fault that – Tonali, on the face of it, looks like a good signing.”
