West Ham set sights on Serie A midfielder to replace Declan Rice

West Ham have reportedly set sights on Juventus' Denis Zakaria in an attempt to replace Declan Rice after his departure.

David Moyes' side is preparing a bid for the Switzerland international, according to Sky Italia, and it will be very soon. Zakaria's contract with the Italian giants expires in the summer of 2026. After a loan spell at Chelsea last season, the Juventus midfielder's time at the club did not unfold as anticipated. Zakaria made appearances in only 11 matches, playing for approximately 600 minutes, indicating a lack of significant involvement on the pitch.

As Declan Rice prepares to leaves for Arsenal, West Ham United plans to make an €18m offer for Zakaria in order to strengthen their midfield. However, Juventus values Zakaria at €25m, and both clubs are now poised to engage in negotiations.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Declan Rice's contract with Arsenal is already signed and will be unveiled soon. The Englishman's deal with Mikel Arteta's side will be a record-breaker for the club, as they are set to pay £105m for the 24-year-old.
