Manchester United newcomer Edinson Cavani has revealed he can handle the pressure of wearing the club’s iconic No. 7 jersey.

The 33-year-old forward has signed a one-year deal with the Red Devils, joining Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side from PSG during the summer transfer window. He will take the iconic number of 7, worn by United legends George Best, Eric Cantona, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Juan Mata has been made a ‘lucrative’ offer to leave Manchester United, with an unnamed Saudi Arabian club eager to sign him.

The Spanish midfielder has joined the Red Devils from Premier League rivals, Chelsea, back in 2014. Since then he has made more than 250 appearances for his side, though currently faces a limited playing time at Old Trafford.

Paul Merson have claimed that Manchester United should have signed Arsenal’s Thomas Partey on deadline day.

The Red Devils did bring in £40 million midfielder Donny van de Beek, and on deadline day sealed deals for Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and youngsters Facundo Pellestri and Amad Diallo, with the latter set to arrive in January in a deal rising to £37m.
