VBET ambassador Brian Hughes has finally got his hands on the jumps jockeys’ championship trophy.
Hughes was named champion for the first time in March, but he had been unable to officially receive the award due to the coronavirus outbreak.
An official ceremony in front of fellow jockeys will be made at Sandown in the autumn.
But the trophy can now take pride of place in the Hughes household after it was hand-delivered by legendary former jockey Mick Fitzgerland.
United at last!

Hughes said: “It’s a bit surreal, to be honest. I never thought something like this would happen to someone like me, but it’s great.
“It’s a bit of a shock, really. I suppose in years to come it will probably sinkin.”
