WATCH: Horse racing experts reveal their tips for Doncaster on Friday

Horse racing experts David Carr and Nick Robson are the go-to guys for analysis of all the action in the north of England. Who better to ask, then, for horse racing tips at the St Leger Festival at Doncaster? Carr has focused upon the feature race, the Doncaster Cup (3.15), and expects Eagles By Day to win. David O’Meara’s stayer is taking another step up in distance and is a 5/1 shot with VBET. Carr said: “The Doncaster is a proper test of stamina. It’s a full two and a quarter miles, and that will be ideal for Eagles By Day. “His dam was second in a Gold Cup over two and a half miles at Ascot and he’s a smart stayer himself. “He showed that when he won first time for David O’Meara at York earlier in the season. “Not at all disgraced behind Stradivarius in the Goodwood Cup, this two and a quarter miles will be ideal for him. “Eagles By Day could be the one to beat.” Nick Robson, meanwhile, has identified Irish raider Frenetic as his best bet of the day. The three-time-winning juvenile is currently trading at odds of 5/1 for the Flying Childers Stakes at 2.40 pm. Robson said: “I always like the Flying Childers, and this year’s race looks well up to standard. “There’s Steel Bull coming over from Ireland who had excuses from last time. :Sacred sets the standard, I think, on her form in Group races as she’s getting the allowances. ?But it’s another two-year-old filly who I like, Frenetic from Ger Lyons’ yard. “He’s booked William Buick. She looks all speed, to me, and this is the race I think they’ve had their eye on all year.”
