The Golden State Warriors assistant general manager Kirk Lacob has recently spoke about Stephen Curry’s style of leadership.
After their worst season in franchise history, the Warriors will be back stronger than ever. They will be lead by Stephen Curry, who has been a leader for them for years now. He isn’t the most vocal in public, but he gets the job done always.
Speaking on the Runnin’ Plays Podcast, Lacob
“He’s (Curry) so competitive. Everybody seems this happy go lucky guy who plays with joy, smiling, having fun out there. (But) he’s a killer. He is so competitive.
"He does a lot of work behind the scenes. There’s a lot more to his leadership than is often seen publicly. I don’t know if that’s by his design or if he’s just doesn’t care for people to see that. For him, it’s about doing it, not other people seeing it.”
Lacob later added about how Curry gives his platform to other players when needed.
"He calls on half the team for things he thinks are important, he will go the extra mile”,
“There are times when he lets other players on the team be the leader and speak. He’s pretty active behind the scenes. He knows what’s important for the league, and for the team. He knows how to get things done.”
