Warrington Wolves’ player to miss start of Super League season

Warrington Wolves’ halfback Gareth Widdop will miss the start of the season due to an ankle injury. The 30-year-old rolled his ankle in training and is currently set to miss the opening three rounds of the campaign. It comes as a blow to both Widdop and Warrington, as the England and Great Britain halfback spent a chunk of 2019 out because of dislocated shoulder. Widdop is set to strike up an exciting partnership with Blake Austin, but that will reportedly be postponed following his injury. Source- Total Rugby League
