Virgil van Dijk sends message to Liverpool fans after Brighton win

Virgil van Dijk has sent a message to Liverpool supporters after the newly crowned Premier League champions made it back to back wins. Liverpool lost their first match since landing the title when they were beaten 4-0 at outgoing champions Manchester City. The Reds bounced back at the weekend with a 2-0 home victory over Aston Villa. They followed that up with an even better performance in winning an entertaining game 3-1 at Brighton on Wednesday night. The result ensured van Dijk’s 29th birthday ended in suitable style. The Dutch defender said: “Just wanted to say thank you for all the birthday messages. It was a good win tonight, we’re going home with the three points, which is the most important thing.
