Virgil van Dijk issues response to England fans who booed him in Nations League

Photo/TheMirror Virgil van Dijk has issued a response to the England fans who booed him in the Nations League, saying: "I don't care". Netherlands national team beat England during UEFA Nations League semi-finals 3-1. Liverpool star Virgil Van Dijk was an epicentre of the match as he was booed by English fans, which was later branded embarrassing by Gary Lineker and criticised by many more. "I don't care. If somebody boos me or boos the team, it's because we are trying to win the game," said Van Dijk. "We know we have a lot of support behind us anyway. At the end of the day it's us players who have to do the job. It doesn't affect me at all." The Netherlands lost to Portugal in the final of the Nations league on Sunday.
