Leeds United’s director of football Victor Orta has spoken out on the club's transfer plans amid Todd Cantwell and Louie Sibley links. During the summer transfer window, Leeds welcomed several players including Rodrigo, Robin Koch as well as Diego Llorente.
Cantwell was the subject of a £15m bid from the Whites before the end of the international transfer window, according to a report. While a fresh rumour that has emerged is the interest in Derby County youngster Sibley.
“When we analysed the market, we detected that with the requirements we have for this position, if a player is not realistic over all the requirements, bringing in a player for the sake of bringing in a player is not clever," Orta told
Yorkshire Evening Post.
“It can be worse. We prefer to bring in a good player.”
“We analyse all the players. We know them really well, their clubs were our rivals, we analysed (Cantwell) in the Premier League,” Orta added.
“But it’s like a lot of the players we’ve analysed, it’s difficult. They are players we analysed, we have information and then we need to think about the possibility.”
