Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has praised the performances of Rasmus Hojlund and Anthony Martial in their away match against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in North London.
The Red Devils took the lead in the 27th minute, somewhat against the flow of the game, thanks to a goal from Marcus Rashford. However, Arsenal quickly equalized with a goal from Martin Odegaard, and then Declan Rice scored to put the Gunners ahead 2-1. Gabriel Jesus sealed the victory for Arsenal with the third goal in the 11th minute of injury time.
Following the clash, Ten Hag shared his thoughts on the displays of Rasmus Hojlund and Anthony Martial in an interview with Sky Sports Premier League.
“I think he (Hojlund) played very good, but also Anthony Martial, very good performance," he said, via HITC.
Martial played as the lone striker in a 4-2-3-1 formation. He had one shot on target, created one key pass, had a perfect pass accuracy of 100%, won one header, and touched the ball 18 times.
Hojlund came on as a substitute for Martial in the 67th minute. The attacker had one shot, but it was off target, had a pass accuracy of 50%, and touched the ball 10 times.
