"Very dominant": Mourinho picks out three Spurs players for praise despite defeat to Sheffield

Jose Mourinho has praised Tottenham's Eric Dier, Moussa Sissoko and Davinson Sanchez after his side’s defeat to Sheffield United. Spurs were disappointingly poor as they slipped to a 3-1 loss at Bramall Lane. Tottenham’s defence were exposed on numerous occasions, with Mourinho’s side making some shocking errors. However, the Portuguese boss felt that Spurs dealt with the threat from Sheffield United well initially. “In the first half, we were very dominant in the long defensive balls,” he said. “In all these kicks, extremely long, we were very dominant there. Dier, Sissoko, Davinson won every ball in the air, but then we need to win the second ball and be more aggressive there in the transition to attack.” Source: HITC
