Unai Emery on his strongest XI performance with the likes off Mesut Ozil, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Petr Cech

Arsenal edged out Chelsea 6-5 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in the International Champions Cup in Dublin. Arsenal named something close to his strongest XI, with starts for Mesut Ozil, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as well as Petr Cech, who started in goal while Mattéo Guendouzi kept his place in front of the back four. The Gunners improved after the break but left it late to level when Alexandre Lacazette (90+3) forced a penalty shoot-out, where Ruben Loftus-Cheek's miss proved decisive as Arsenal netted all six of their penalties. In his post-match interview Arsenal coach Unai Emery said on his team’s performance: "We are very happy with the 90 minutes because I think the performance got better during the match. After the first goal we suffered 15, 20 minutes but I think it is good also to know in this moment we need to stay together and have these moments in the game. Then, I think we controlled the match with the possession, good opportunities on the pitch and making good chances for a goal. For that, I think the performance tonight was good to find our best preparation for the start of competition."
