Unai Emery speaks out on Europa League final, Mkhitaryan situation and more

Arsenal won their last Premier League game of the season against Burnley 3-1. After the game, Unai Emery spoke about the upcoming Europa League final as well as the Henrikh Mkhitaryan situation and more. On Europa League final We'll prepare for it like the international break. We'll have two days off, we need the first week not thinking about the final. We're going to train three days in London, after we'll have next weekend off then the next Tuesday in London three days training, preparing with all our focus on the final. After we are going to go to Baku before, three or four days before, Saturday I think. The last three training sessions will be for the match. On Joe Willock replacing Aaron Ramsey We need to use the young players as [we did with] Ramsey when he was young. Every player can first take chances and after use these chances to make improvement to be with us. Today, for example, Joe Willock and Nketiah played the 90 minutes, 60 and 30. They used this match to help us with a good performance from both. Our responsibility is to give them chances but above all finding the best team performance. Young players at Arsenal in the past and present need the opportunity to be with us training everyday, coming to matches and showing us they can play with us. On the final taking place in Baku I didn't exactly understand what is the reason between playing in one place and another. I played against Barcelona in the Super Cup in Tblisi, Georgia, years ago. It was the same, two teams from Spain travelling to Tblisi for the Super Cup. The problem is for the supporters. I'd prefer to play closer to England because we are two English teams and can move a lot of supporters to be with us. Three years ago we played in Switzerland against Liverpool with Sevilla and the stadium was full with our supporters and Liverpool's. It was amazing. I don't know really how they decided to play there. After it's going to be only 6,000 supporters from us and Chelsea but the stadium has a capacity for 68,000. I think it'll be full but not with our supporters. On Mkhitaryan situation Really, I don't know what is the problem between two countries. We are going to do all we can to be there with Mkhitaryan. This issue is not only sporting. It's not in my hands. I don't understand what is the solution. One [issue] is political, I don't know really what the solution is to that. We want to play with every player, with Mkhitaryan. Today he worked very well. We are going to do everything possible to play with every player and him. I don't know about these political issues. On Aubameyang winning the Golden Boot These three points give us 70, it's not enough to be in the top four but we were progressing, being consistent. We can be not 100 per cent happy but the players worked to progress all season, to improve in our processes. We finished a big distance from Manchester City and Liverpool but closer to Tottenham and Chelsea. Our idea is to continue in this way, in our process. After it's good if individually we take some objectives, like today for Aubameyang. I think every player worked for the team and after helping each other with their capacity and quality. Aubameyang is our scorer with [Alexandre] Lacazette and also [Eddie] Nketiah, he's young but also has the possibility to grow up and improve with us. We can be pleased with him. via - football.london.
