Unai Emery gives update on Petr Cech’s injury and rates Bernd Leno’s performance

In his post-match interview Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has given update on Petr Cech’s injury and backed Bernd Leno who stepped up in veteran keeper’s absence. Petr Cech was forced to be sidelined  as he appeared to injure his hamstring in the act of taking a goal kick. Arsenal summer signing Bernd Leno performed well against Watford wit Unai Emery appeared to be satisfied with his performance. On Cech’s injury, the Spanish coach explained: ‘Tomorrow I will know more. Maybe it’s two or three weeks, it’s muscular [hamstring].’ He then proceeded to praise Leno, continuing: ‘He is working very well with the goalkeeping coaches. ‘I spoke with him and said the most important thing is when the team needs him to help us, to be prepared. ‘He did that on Wednesday and today also – and against Vorskla. ‘We have three very good goalkeepers. Petr Cech, his performances for us have been very important and his experience. Leno can learn by staying near with Petr Cech every day. ‘I am very happy with him. He has waited for his moment and it’s arriving.’
