Why Unai Emery refused to start Henrikh Mkhitaryan against Watford if he knew the midfielder forced to miss Qarabag fixture

Arsenal played another Premier League match against Watford on Saturday. The Gunners played the fixture against Watford at the Emirates and could gain 3 points by defeating the opponent 2-0. Armenian international Henrikh Mkhitaryan not only wasn’t included in starting line-up but also didn’t receive a chance from Unai Emery to play as substitute. Mkhitaryan started 5 out of 7 Arsenal matches this season and scored only once. According to statistics made by one of Arsenal fans, Mkhitaryan has never had a full season as a starter in case that he plays more than 30 matches in a season. The fact that Mkhitaryan wasn’t included in starting line-up ahead of Gunners’ trip to Baku gives a reason that the midfielder could become a victim of rotation. All the arrows lead to the rotation. But if there is a problem of rotation in the squad why Emery refused to give him a chance in their last match. He could have rested either Ozil or Ramsey as both of them could be free to play against Qarabag, while Mkhitaryan couldn't. It’s a little bit strange situation that gives reason to wonder whether Mkhitaryan plays worse than Ozil or Ramsey. Arsenal supporters were also dissatisfied with Emery’s choice. We just need to hope that Mkhitaryan will show his best and the head coach will at least include him in his starting 11.
