UEFA Champions League Prize Money 2024/25

In the upcoming 2024/2025 season, the UEFA Champions League will introduce a new format with notably higher prize money.

Moreover, qualifying for the most prestigious European tournament has now become even more important for the teams due to its financial rewards.

Each participating club will earn a minimum of £17.4 million ($22.0 million) in prize money. This, combined with funds from ticket sales for home games, makes the ULC a major source of income for clubs, especially in a time of financial search.

Premier League clubs showed awareness in the January 2024 transfer window, lowering international transfer spending by 80% compared to the last year.

Champions League 2024/25 Format

The 2024/2025 Champions League campaign will face new format, the impact of which remains to be seen. Unlike the previous structure with 32 teams divided into eight groups of four, the new format involves 36 clubs starting with a league phase.

Each team will play eight matches against eight different opponents, split evenly between home and away games.

The opponents will be selected through a seeding process, with each team facing two opponents from each of the four pots, once at home and once away.
