RB Salzburg are set to host Bayern Munich in the Champions League last 16 first leg on February 16, 2022.
The two teams have met two times in the Champions League. The games took place during the 2020/21 campaign in the group stage of the European top tier.
RB Salzburg will have some players missing from the upcoming Champions League match against Bayern Munich due to injuries.
Bernardo (knee), Mamady Diambou (thigh), Sekou Koita (knee), and Bryan Okoh (knee) will all be out of action. Benjamin Sesko is doubtful to feature on Wednesday with a thigh problem, while Lukak Sucic and Zlatko Junuzovic are back in training.
Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka (hip), Alphonso Davies (heart condition), Jamal Musiala (covid), and Manuel Neuer (knee surgery) will not be available for the first leg match against the rivals due to fitness issues.

RB Salzburg are currently the leaders in Austrian Bundesliga. Meanwhile, Julian Nagelsmann’s Bayern are leading the Germany Bundesliga table.
Matthias Jaissle’s side finished in 2nd place in the Champions League group stage, having three wins, one draw, and two defeats. The Bavarians were unbeaten in Group E and entered the next stage with six victories.
