Tyson Fury responds to Deontay Wilder’s claim that his entrance outfit was to blame for defeat in Las Vegas

Tyson Fury has responded to Deontay Wilder’s claims, that his 40Ib ring entrance outfit was to blame for the defeat in Las Vegas. In the rematch of heavyweights, Fury dropped Wilder in the third and fifth rounds before the American’s corner threw in the towel in the seventh session. Following the fight, The Bronze Bomber has blamed the 40-pound costume he wore on his way to the ring for making his legs heavy. “I had no legs,” Wilder said. “I’m surprised I went that long. I had no legs, and I knew I was in for a fight with these legs and the condition I was in. It was crazy. But, you know, again, it’s nobody’s fault but mine. I wore the costume that was that heavy, and I paid the price. I traded the tribute to men and women [for] my title, and you know, as a warrior, I was gonna fight. My job was to fight under any circumstances, as a king, and that’s what I did. And I don’t take nothing back.” WBC world champion Fury has resisted the temptation to ridicule Wilder for the outburst. “He also said he trains in a 45 lbs weighted vest every day,” Fury said, speaking to ITV's This Morning. “I can understand where he is coming from, in every fighter's mind there has got to be a reason why he has lost. It can never be the simple fact of, "I wasn't good enough on the night and I lost to a better guy". It's always got to be, "the camp was wrong, it was the trainer's fault, it was my suit, it was my toe". It was always something's a problem.” Following the victory over Wilder, Fury sets sights on a fight with another heavyweight giant and his compatriot Anthony Joshua. Source: Daily Mail
