Tyson Fury ranked best heavyweight in world after Anthony Joshua defeat

Photo/ Kirsty O'Connor/Getty Images Tyson Fury ranked best heavyweight in the world by Ring magazine, after Anthony Joshua’s defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr. 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist and former IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight boxing champion Joshua was knocked out in the seventh round at Madison Square Garden Saturday night by massive betting odds underdog Andy Ruiz Jr. Ruiz handed Joshua his first professional loss and shocked the boxing world with the upset. A rematch is now likely to take place in October or November later this year, where Joshua will get the chance to win his belts back. Fury moves up one place to the top of the tree, closely followed by world champion Deontay Wilder and Ruiz. Dillian Whyte rounds off the top five ahead of his fight against Oscar Rivas next month. The Ring magazine belt is currently vacant but was previously held by Fury. The organization declined to put the belt on the line for Fury’s clash with Wilder last December but could do so if the pair meet again. Fury must first beat Tom Schwarz in Las Vegas on June 15 following Wilder's first-round KO of Dominic Breazeale last month.
