Tyson Fury has admitted that he fears Oleksandr Usyk could destroy plans for a world heavyweight title unification between himself and Anthony Joshua later this year. Fury and Joshua face Deontay Wilder. Usyk respectively, and will need to make it past the two feared heavyweights to set up the big money showdown. Speaking ahead of his fight with Wilder on July 24, Fury said that he was concerned that Joshua may not make it past Usyk in their London fight this September. In an interview with the Mail Online Fury said: "Usyk is a southpaw, clever, technically very good. He’s smaller as a former cruiserweight champion but he handled Derek Chisora, who is physically tougher than Joshua. So while I’m absolutely confident of beating Wilder, I’m not so sure about AJ not losing his fight." Joshua and Fury had set an August 14 date to finally step in the ring. But despite a contract signed on all sides, arbitration brought by Wilder ruled that Fury must face the American before taking any other fights.
