Tyson Fury, the former unified heavyweight world champion insists he remains a lineal champion of the division following his famous win over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015, and that Wilder wants to make that title his own.
“He does seem to be an angry man,” he told Fighting Spirits with Gareth A Davies.
“He’s got a point to prove, hasn’t he? To everybody’s eyes, Tyson Fury’s the lineal champion. Deontay Wilder is the belt holder. He wants what I have and that’s to be considered as the best.”
Fury is set to face the WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in a colossal showdown in Los Angeles on December 1.
