Tyson Fury doubts his own trainer Ben Davison believed he could beat Doentay Wilder last December.
Fury and Wilder are on course for a February 2020 rematch after the controversial 2018 draw.
The Gypsy King explained on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast:
“What it was with their team, the whole team, [manager] Al Haymon, [promoter] Lou DiBella, the trainers, him, his management, everybody – they thought they were taking someone who was coming for a paycheque.
“Because I made them believe I was turning up for the money, that I had no ambition anymore.
“I was fat as a pig and I’d just come off a two-and-a-half-year layoff and lost ten stone, had suicidal thoughts.”
