Two Tottenham players could leave at the end of the season, manager suggests

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has suggested that Kyle Walker-Peters and Jan Vertonghen may leave the club at the end of the season. Walker-Peters has been sent out on loan to Southampton FC this season, while Vertonghen is nearing the end of his contract. Both players had seen their playing time limited with Spurs, with Mourinho choosing other options on the pitch. And now, as Walker-Peters is enjoying the first-team game during his loan spell, Mourinho has confirmed he wouldn't stand in the youngster’s way if he asks for a move. Speaking to Football London, the Portuguese manager said: “If his desire is to be playing every time and leaving the club in search of happiness I don’t think we’d stop him. He’s a player with a good value in the market but I don’t think we’d stop him doing it.”  On Vertonghen's future at the club, he added: “If he is going to be here next season is something that I don’t know, he doesn’t know and it’s something we’ll have to see after that. However to say, independent of everything, ‘I’m available for the extra month for the team’, shows the dimension of his character. He’s really a guy that I love to work with because of his character.”
