Manchester City are getting ready for their next friendly clash against Barnsley and then the Community Shield against Leicester City.
The first week of pre-season started with senior players being on holiday and a number of academy players being quarantined.
The squad has now been boosted by Ilkay Gundogan's return, after his rest following EURO 2020.
The Germany international will now get his fitness back to be ready for the Community Shield clash against Leicester next week.
Tommy Doyle is also one of the players getting back in training.
He has posted on Instagram with a caption, "Back on the grass. Feeling good."
After the Preston game, Pep Guardiola mentioned that he is going to use his 'second team' for the Community Shields, meaning Doyle might also be involved at Wembley on August 7.
