Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dele Alli to take part in lockdown challenge

Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold and Tottenham's Dele Alli will take part in a charity FIFA tournament this weekend to raise funds to fight coronavirus. The England pair are joined by Juventus Paulo Dybala as well as former One Direction star Liam Payne. Gamers Without Borders is the global community that have put on the tournament which is the largest charity e-sports event of all time. Alexander-Arnold will take Payne. He said: “I think the likes of the gaming community have really come together during lockdown and been united by everything – it’s definitely kept footballers and teammates connected in a fun way. Tournaments like this not only help donate to charities doing some amazing work to fight COVID-19 but it also shows how gaming brings people together from all walks of life. Looking forward to taking on Liam and seeing if he’s got any game!” Meanwhile, Alli will take on Dybala. “Lots of my teammates and footballing friends are massively into their gaming," said the Tottenham star. "Playing the likes of FIFA over the last few months has kept us connected and competitive for when we get back out there for real. Gamers Without Borders is a brilliant way for the gamers all over the world to come together for good causes and support these charities fighting COVID-19. I’m looking forward to seeing what Paulo has in the locker for our match!” Source: The Mirror
