TRANSFER UPDATE: Wilfried Zaha asked Crystal Palace to quit after Arsenal’s failed bid

Wlfried Zaha has reportedly asked Crystal Place to leave after Arsenal failed to secure his deal. The Gunners made an offer of around £40m plus three players but Palace rejected the bid. However, Unai Emery remains hopeful of landing the Ivory Coast international. According to Sky Sports, Zaha told Palace that he wishes to leave the club after returning from the 2019 Africa Cup Nations. Arsenal will make another approach as Zaha remains Arsenal’s number one attacking target. Speaking ahead of the Ivory Coast’s last-16 win over Mali, Zaha refused to rule out a move to Arsenal. Asked about Arsenal’s failed £40m offer, Zaha told On Sport: "I have no comment on it. The only thing that’s on my mind right now is trying to win this cup [AFCON]."
