Manchester United are confident that Newcastle United player Sean Longstaff will soon join them becoming the second high-profile signing of the summer.

Longstaff committed his future to his hometown club last month but the perspective to join United may be difficult to resist as Solskjaer wants to build a team of young and enthusiastic British players where he can find his own place.

The midfielder has a successful season at St James’ park under Benitez but then sustained knee ligament injury and forced to miss a number of matches.

United are also expected to lure services of Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissake.
