Tottenham's third summer signing is close, replacement already found - reports

Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on the signing of Wolves defender Matt Doherty, according to The Telegraph and The Independent. The Telegraph add that Wolves already have a replacement in mind. Valencia full0back Thierry Correia have been linked with a move to Molineux. Doherty is likely to head to Spurs for £15million, with the money being reinvested in Correia. The Independent suggests that Spurs are ‘closing in’ on Doherty, and whilst Wolves want £20million, Spurs want to pay a lower price and insert add-ons into the move. The 28-year-old has been with Wolves for 10 years now having joined from Bohemians in 2010, and now has more than 300 appearances for the club to his name. The Irishman has notched eight goals and 11 assists in two Premier League seasons for Wolves.
