Tottenham’s defeat to Brighton might be the final game for one Spurs star, claims pundit

Hugo Lloris might have played his last game for Tottenham after devastating injury blow, claimed former Leeds United striker Noel Whelan in an interview with Football Insider. World Cup winner has made several mistakes during Spurs campaign this season including their latest 3-0 loss to Brighton, eventually leading him to an elbow injury. Reportedly, he will be sidelined until January and after Spurs might look for a new keeper as insists Whelan. “Lloris may have played his last game for Tottenham,” said Whelan. “He’s starting to look like an accident waiting to happen at the top level.  He’s struggling with high balls, the kind of distribution Pochettino wants from him.  He’s making all types of errors.  That isn’t just this season, either. It was the same last season and the one before. He’s on the downhill spiral, that’s pretty clear. His absence is a chance for (Paulo) Gazzaniga to become the new number one. If he does really well, then Tottenham may decide to sell Lloris and bring in a younger keeper.” Lloris is the captain of both Tottenham and World Cup winners France. He joined Spurs in 2012 for £10 million and since then has made 307 appearances.
