Tottenham star reveals frustration at Jose Mourinho Europa League decision

Tottenham centre-back Joe Rodon has admitted that it was frustrating to not get the chance to play in the Europa League last season as Jose Mourinho left him out of the squad. The Wales international made his move to north London too late in the summer window to be registered for the group-stages of the competition. And then Spurs boss Mourinho decided to leave him out. And, as noted by Football London, the Portuguese felt that it would be unfair to replace anyone to bring Rodon in.
“It was obviously frustrating,” the centre-back said, as reported by Football London. “I kind of understood – it was for a reason, to adapt me and get me into the group.   "Every player wants to play a lot of games, but sometimes it doesn’t go like that and the best thing I could do was just to keep my head down, keep working hard and wait for my opportunity.”
But now Rodon is in the squad for their Europa Conference League campaign, as he looks set to start in Rennes on Thursday with Spurs facing a little crisis at centre-back. Source - TBR Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
