Jose Mourinho has admitted Tottenham outcast Dele Alli was not happy at being an unused sub for Thursday's Europa League win over Royal Antwerp.
Alli has made just four starts and four substitute appearances in all competitions this season.
Mourinho insisted he had allowed both Alli and his Tottenham team-mate Harry Winks to head down the tunnel early to get a warm shower on a freezing cold night in north London.
However, he said he wouldn't expect any player to be happy at not getting on the pitch.
"A player that is on the bench and realises that with five changes that he is not one of the players, of course he is not happy player," Mourinho said afterwards.
"I don't expect him to be happy. I do not keep everyone happy.
"How can I? I believe all of them are happy because we are winning but I do not think everybody is happy at all, but that is the nature of football and I cannot make miracles."
Thursday's 2-0 win over Antwerp meant Tottenham qualified for the Europa League last 32 in top spot in Group J, while Mourinho's team are also leading the way in the Premier League.
